The new module and solution enhancements improve fleet flexibility, transparency, customization, and efficiency

COMMACK, N.Y., October 26, 2021IntelliShift, the leading cloud-based fleet and safety management platform, today announced new functionality to its AI Video and fuel management solutions, as well as a new Fleet Maintenance module, as part of its annual ConnectedOps 2021 summit. The product enhancements are designed to better support IntelliShift’s community of customers via deeply integrated, tailored solutions and best-in-class analytics. The updates include deployable, standalone services that improve vehicle efficiency and sustainability through greater insight.

Fleet and safety operations leaders need end-to-end operational visibility to ensure ongoing organizational health and agility. With access to real-time, data-driven insights from across business functions, managers can take immediate proactive action. IntelliShift’s latest release of product enhancements empower fleet managers to take charge of their data, make smarter decisions, and generate outcomes that improve safety and ROI with solutions that match the unique needs of their organizations.

IntelliShift is revealing a new, standalone module for Fleet Maintenance, with a Beta available Q4 2021. Designed as a direct response to the ongoing chip shortage – which has put significant pressure on fleets to extend asset life and improve maintenance procedures – IntelliShift Fleet Maintenance will enable customers to streamline proactive maintenance workflows to prevent costly breakdowns. The app breaks down silos between digital inspections and service to accelerate communications and workorders from the field to the shop, and it provides a singular platform that leverages vehicle data to plan and schedule preventative maintenance, maximizing fleet efficiency.

“With vehicle shortages putting pressure on fleets, maintenance has become a pillar of efficiency and sustainability,” said Ryan Wilkinson, Chief Technology Officer of IntelliShift. “Aging vehicles need to stay on the road longer, meaning preventative maintenance is critical for success. This is why we are introducing Fleet Maintenance, a companion product to our IntelliShift Inspect mobile app, to help digitize workorders and provide enhanced functionality over traditional vehicle service.”

Additional updates include:

  • AI Video and Safety Enhancements (Available Q1 2022) – As the strain on the supply chain grows, fleets across the country are feeling the effects of the ongoing driver shortage. The American Trucking Association anticipates a deficiency of 100,000 drivers by 2023. To better support the new wave of inexperienced drivers expected to step up to meet this need, IntelliShift is launching new enhancements to its AI Video and Safety solution to improve driver safety. The new functionality includes in-app configuration, which enables faster changes through simple, easy-to-use interfaces. Customers using this solution will be able to prioritize safety elements that matter most for their fleet and deprioritize those that don’t – with visibility delivered by data-driven dashboards. Further, this functionality will shorten the overall lead time for change management by eliminating the need for additional support.
  • Fuel Management Enhancements (Available Q1 2022) – Forecasting fuel consumption rates can be challenging, especially in a market facing unmatched volatility and the highest prices in years. The more fleets can eliminate key variables and increase data visibility across assets, the better prepared leaders are in planning for uncertain futures. The new update to IntelliShift’s fuel management solution seamlessly connects traditionally siloed data sets. This facilitates greater data visibility on fuel levels and fuel consumption, as well as greater interoperability across fuel card vendors. This data ecosystem ensures greater third-party integration, so managers have a full view into spending trends across the business.

IntelliShift is outlining key priorities and design principles for these enhancements today, October 26 at ConnectedOps 2021, which brings forward-thinking decision-makers, thought leaders, executives, and IT personnel together to showcase what the future holds in the connected fleet and safety operations market. In the free-to-join sessions, the full IntelliShift community of customer experts and product leaders will share innovative ways of connecting people, data, and processes to improve business transparency and outcomes.
